Honor a Local Hero

Request a Veteran Light Pole Banner

Join us in a visual tribute to our veterans in the heart of the Nickel Plate District! This special light pole banner program is dedicated to honoring those who have served in our armed forces.

These banners are not just decorations; they are symbols of gratitude and respect, enhancing the atmosphere of our community, especially during patriotic events throughout the year.

Submit a photo and view an interactive map of the existing pole banners.

There’s no cost to participate. The City covers all expenses related to the creation and display of these banners. This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to those who have given so much.

Photo Requirements:

  • Size: Minimum 4” x 6”
  • Resolution: 600dpi for clarity
  • Format: .PNG or .JPG file type
  • Close-up images of the veteran in uniform (current or while serving) and waist up and/or headshots with solid backgrounds are preferred. Military or public safety vehicles, flags, buildings, monuments, etc. are acceptable in the backdrop.
