H.F. 132 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 272C.2D Continuing education 1 requirements —— remote courses. 2 A licensing board shall not limit the number of continuing 3 education credits that may be obtained remotely in satisfying 4 continuing education requirements. For the purposes of this 5 section, “licensing board” also includes each entity issuing 6 a professional license pursuant to chapter 88A, 89, 89A, 90A, 7 101A, 124, 126, 135, 136C, 159, 206, 272, 321, 441, 459B, 481A, 8 502, or 543D. 9 EXPLANATION 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 11 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 12 This bill relates to continuing education requirements 13 for maintaining a professional license. The bill prohibits 14 a licensing board from limiting the number of continuing 15 education credits that may be obtained remotely in satisfying 16 continuing education requirements.
